Hannah Keene

Therapist

Hannah (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Chicago. She received her Master’s of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at DePaul University and holds a Master’s of Fine Art in Writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her specialties include working with trauma, shame, grief, and climate anxiety. Her therapeutic style is warm, inquisitive, and kind.

Hannah’s approach is rooted in relational frameworks with the belief that healing begins in affirming and safe relationships. Her work with clients is built on nourishing secure relationships and liberatory practices of self-compassion and radical acceptance. Hannah works collaboratively with her clients to create a space for mutuality and authenticity, utilizing feminist and somatic (body-based) interventions to navigate the impacts of disempowerment and systemic inequities. Hannah enjoys working with individuals who are seeking a deeper connection to the varied and brilliant parts of themselves. She is deeply passionate about working with grief and loss, in all its complex and unique forms.

Previously, Hannah has worked in crisis intervention and as an advocate for survivors of sexual abuse and intimate partner abuse, as well as a community educator on the importance of survivor support. Hannah is sex-positive and 2SLGBTQIA+, poly/ENM and kink-affirming.

In addition to being a therapist, Hannah is a volunteer speaker for the Green Burial Council and working towards her Death Doula certification. She loves reading with her cats, backpacking, and a good cup of coffee.
